With this article, the author returns to a previously conceived project — a study of the mentality of the peoples of Europe, which started in 2017. The object of the study is the Bulgarians. The subject of the study is the mentality of Bulgarians, gender relations in Bulgaria, business communication in this country. The main scientific result: having studied the collected source base and analyzed scientific and popular science articles, using modern methods of sociology and other social sciences, the author created a socio-cultural portrait of Bulgarians.

The article substantiates the relevance of the problem of studying the cognitive component of self-esteem of primary school children with mental retardation. The results of scientific data on the peculiarities of self-esteem in primary school children of this nosological group, on the peculiarities of the development of the cognitive component of a child’s self-esteem in the process of his schooling are summarized. The results of an empirical study of the features of the cognitive component of self-esteem of primary school children with mental retardation are described.

Kuznetsova E.V. SOCIAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL SUPPORT FOR THE SOCIALIZATION OF ADOLESCENTS RAISED IN SINGLE-PARENT FAMILIES

The article analyzes the peculiarities of socialization of adolescents brought up in a single-parent family. The article focuses on the fact that upbringing in a single-parent family creates risks of socio-psychological maladaptation of adolescents due to certain violations of the functioning of the family system, functional emptiness arising from the lack of realization of the role of any parent. Designing socio-psychological support of socialization of adolescents brought up in a single-parent family should take into account their personal characteristics, namely: low level of self-acceptance, problems in socio-psychological adaptation, low level of development of social competence, autonomy, responsibility, manifestations of emotional disadvantage, low level of life satisfaction. This fact determines the main tasks and directions of socio-psychological support of socialization of adolescents brought up in a single-parent family.
